Remember last year ATD won so many awards at Olivier whereas Benedict wasnt even nomininated? Well then this year that’s three prestigious theatre awards(Olivier, ES and Critics Circle) Benedict has won for Frankenstein. Coundnt be happier for him! :DD

I hope the award statue isn’t as horrendous as the Evening Standard one. I let Benedict keep it on the mantelpiece but it does scare the cat.
I think this no-show at public events business is going to cause the second argument in Benedict and mine’s imaginary relationship (the first argument was regarding his rumoured blossoming friendship Lydia Hearst if you’re interested).

It’s the Olivier Awards later today! The very very best of luck to Benedict Cumberbatch, Jonny Lee Miller, Underworld, Bruno Poet and the National Theatre.
You can watch the Olivier Awards live on the red button on the BBC or listen on BBC Radio 2.
The awards are also going to be streamed live on the Olivier Awards website.
Red carpet coverage starts at 5:30 (presumably on a delay as the red carpet opens at 4:30 p.m.) and the ceremony starts at 6:00 and lasts till 9:00 p.m.
To pre-empt the question everyone is asking no I’m sorry I don’t know if Benedict is attending. It will presumably depend on his Star Trek filming schedule. Several of the nominees are elsewhere (Sheridan Smith is in Australia, the One Man 2 Guvnors team are in new York). But its a really really good year for nominees so it will be a great event regardless (go Bertie and the Matildas!)
All appendages crossed that things go as we hope but if (heaven forbid) things don’t go Benedict’s way let’s be an incredibly classy fandom and be supportive of the winner as I am sure Benedict would no doubt want us too (which is a polite way of saying that if the winner should, ooh I don’t know be on twitter say, please don’t copy him into any outraged tweets).
Should be an exciting night.
If he does win and isn’t in attendance I hope his bum/chest/hands/’tache/motorbike/curls/lips show up to accept it on his behalf.
