Anonymous asked: what are your theories about the season 2 finale??
I think the rhododendron flower mentioned earlier in the episode when they’re looking for the children is a key element. Its from the cannon and it was mentioned so briefly as if not to draw any attention to it whereas other things like the girl screaming at Sherlock’s face and the hanging dummy where emphasised. I can’t remember exactly which story it’s from but its used to bring about a death like state. The uncharacteristic thing Sherlock did (mentioned by Gatiss or Moffat, can’t remember) was cry which is a side-effect of using the flower - sniffly nose, watery eyes like an allergy. I’m guessing the rubber ball was another red herring because once he’d used the flower to paralyse himself he wouldn’t also need the ball to stop his pulse. I’m not 100% on how or if he hit the ground but I don’t like the ‘falling into the truck’ theory, seems too clumsy.
What are yours, anon? Or anyone?
